2012 People’s Choice Awards: The Nominees Are

You know were getting closer to 2012 when the nominees are announced for the Peoples Choice Awards are here. So here are the nominees and who I think should win. First we will start with the films

Favorite Movie:

  1. Bridesmaids
  2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
  3. The Help
  4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
  5. Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Who’s the Winner: All five films have there certain fan base, eclipsed at least the billion dollar mark in the box office and all could potentially win. I have a feeling Potter mania will steal this one along with other awards throughout the night. Many belive DH Part 2 is the best Potter film yet and all those Potter fans are all grown up and ready to vote their hearts out.
Wild Card: Bridesmaids could be the wild card but if you are really living on the wild side go with The Help.
Favorite Movie Actor:
  1. Daniel Radcliffe
  2. Hugh Jackman
  3. Johnny Depp
  4. Robert Pattinson
  5. Ryan Reynolds
Who’s the Winner: Quite the list, but since this is the people’s choice it could easily turn into a battle between the Twilighters and Pottermaniacs as the 2 leading men of the 2 of the biggest filmĀ franchise’s go head to head, even though Pattinson is nominated because of Water For Elephants.
Wild card: Johnny Depp, Captain Jack has always been a favorite.
Favorite Movie Actress:
  1. Anne Hathaway
  2. Emma Stone
  3. Jennifer Aniston
  4. Julia Roberts
  5. Reese Witherspoon
Who the Winner: Yet another amazing list…Emma Stone is the unknown among these other actress but Jennifer Aniston shined in Horrible Bosses and will walk away with the statue.
Wild Card: Emma Stone
Favorite Movie Icon
  1. George Clooney
  2. Harrison Ford
  3. Morgan Freeman
  4. Robert De Niro
  5. Tom Hanks
Who’s the Winner: So in the category we have among others Danny Ocean, Indiana Jones, Eddie Dupris, Jake LeMotta and Forrest Gump. Many could argue that Clint Eastwood should be on this list.
Winner: Harrison Ford, although I could see Clooney getting it on popularity
Wild Card: Morgan Freeman
Favorite Action Movie
  1. Fast Five
  2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
  3. Thor
  4. Transformers: Dark of the Moon
  5. X-Men: First Class
Who’s the Winner: If Potter fans come out and vote, Harry and the gang will Apperate with the awards come Jan. 11th. Thor is the only non-sequel/franchise film on this list but it doesnt help here against the big draws of Potter or Transfomers.
Wild Card: Thor
Favorite Action Star
  1. Hugh Jackman
  2. Ryan Reynolds
  3. Shia Lebeouf
  4. Taylor Lautner
  5. Vin Diesel
Who’s the Winner: Once again we have a Twilight heart throb in a category but for a different film, this doesn’t bode well for the fellow nominees as Twilighters are very loyal. Hugh Jackman is also at the top of the list.
Wild Card: Ryan Reynolds
Favorite Drama Movie
  1. The Adjustment Bureau
  2. The Help
  3. Limitless
  4. Moneyball
  5. Water for Elephants
Who’s the Winner: Really could only be a 3 way race between Adjustment Bureau, Limitless and Moneyball. This ones a guess but Brad Pitt and america’s pastime could win it.
Wild Card: The Help
Favorite Comedy Movie
  1. Bad Teacher
  2. Bridesmaids
  3. Crazy Stupid Love
  4. Friends with Benefits
  5. Hangover Part 2
Who’s the Winner: Bad Teacher – It relates to everyone and so everyone saw it, same with Bridesmaids and this award it basically a two film race or it should be. Hangover is just done as in not funny and the other two can’t compete.
Who Should Win: Bridesmaids
Wild Card: Hangover
Favorite Comedic Movie Actor
  1. Adam Sandler
  2. Ashton Kutcher
  3. Bradley Cooper
  4. Ryan Reynolds
  5. Steve Carrell
Who’s the Winner: Adam Sandler. Carrell could also walk away with the statue. Cooper has only had the Hangover, Kutcher is funnier on TV shows and Reynolds is more the romantic comedy type.
Favorite Comedic Movie Actress
  1. Cameron Diaz
  2. Emma Stone
  3. Jennifer Aniston
  4. Mila Kunis
  5. Natalie Portman
Who’s the Winner: Cameron Diaz – Everyone has had one of those “Bad Teachers” in their lifetime and this was some of Cameron Diaz’s best work in comedy.
Wild Card: Mila Kunis aka the newbie
Favorite Movie Star Under 25
  1. Chloe Moretz
  2. Daniel Radcliffe
  3. Emma Watson
  4. Rupert Grint
  5. Tom Felton
Who’s the Winner: Why don’t we just say that someone from Harry Potter will win as the film’s stars have a 90% chance of winning. The “3 Musketeers of the Magical World” will lead the way.
Wild Card: Chloe Moretz…Really how is she going to beat the Potter stars
Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast
  1. Bridesmaids
  2. The Hangover Part 2
  3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
  4. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Favorite Book Adaptation
  1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
  2. The Help
  3. I Am Number Four
  4. Soul Surfer
  5. Water for Elephants
Winner: Plain and Simple…Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Film 8 puts the francise on top.
Wild Card: All the other nominees shall we say, but Soul Surfer is a potential scene stealer.
